Academic Affairs


The Committee on Academic Affairs is responsible for working with the President and his/her designees on all matters related to educational policies and programs.

The Committee's responsibilities shall include working with the President, Provost and other appropriate staff to:

  • Ensure that the academic programs of the College are consistent with the institution's mission and goals;
  • Evaluate all proposed new programs and degrees and make recommendations regarding these proposals to the Board;
  • Ensure the appropriate execution of existing programs;
  • Ensure the College systematically assesses the effectiveness of its programs;
  • Ensure that faculty personnel policies and procedures complement academic priorities;
  • Review policies regarding the enrollment and retention of students, and
  • Apprise the Board of the adequacy of resources and facilities required to support the academic programs and academic support programs of the College.
